A remarkable encounter in Vienna set the foundation for a dream coming to life. In October 2018, backstage at Vienna’s Konzerthaus, I met Hans Zimmer, whose music transformed cinematic storytelling. I shared the vision that one day we would collaborate, a vision that has become a captivating reality.

In 2024, I had the privilege of joining Part 1 of The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension tour across Europe. The spring leg began with a sold-out opening at Prague’s O2 Arena and quickly extended across more than 30 dates in 13 countries. By that point, over 300,000 tickets had already been sold, with 18 shows, including Berlin, Vienna, Paris, and Lisbon, selling out entirely before the tour began. The production reunited longtime collaborators, featured a stunning symphony orchestra and brought cinematic visuals to life.
February through May 2024 included major stops like Amsterdam, Munich and Madrid. Audiences described the experience as “mesmerising” and “like magic,” with unforgettable moments from The Lion King, Man of Steel to Pirates of the Caribbean earning standing ovations.
Every night, the music moved audiences to tears and brought even the largest crowds to a hush. I witnessed people closing their eyes, completely immersed in Zimmer’s timeless soundscapes, an emotional connection that transcends words.
The final weeks of that leg were an emotional rollercoaster. From exhaustion to elation, I wrote about the full journey, including our final night in Málaga, in Reflecting on the first tour: The World of Hans Zimmer.
Now Part 2 begins. In September 2025, A New Dimension makes its North American arena debut, launching on September 5 in Sunrise, Florida and concluding on October 11 in Vancouver. Over 24 cities, from Houston and Philadelphia to Ottawa, Anaheim, and Portland, will host this emotionally immersive orchestral experience.
Hans Zimmer continues to serve as curator, producer, and musical director, shaping the experience from behind the scenes.
Grammy-nominated composer Matt Dunkley, who led the European performances, will conduct the North American orchestras and add solos, most notably on trumpet. Hans Zimmer shared previously that his aim for this North American run is to break down the traditional barriers around orchestral music. He said he wants audiences to see that orchestras can “rock out like nobody’s business.” Matt Dunkley echoed that message, pointing out that many younger fans can find concert halls intimidating, and this is their chance to feel fully immersed: energetic and connected.
Why This Tour Matters
I’m proud that my involvement brings the narrative to life. It’s not just a story of fandom, but of active creative collaboration. The tour’s success underscores the magic of combining sound, vision and storytelling, while the audience responses, both lauded and critical, bring texture and authenticity. The transition to North America now reflects not just geographic expansion, but artistic evolution.
