Who is Futurelove Sibanda?
Futurelove Sibanda is a Vienna-based singer-songwriter, actor and dancer hailing from Nyamandlovu, Zimbabwe.
Futurelove gained lot of valuable experience on stage at an early age. At the age of 17 he became one of the founding members of the vibrant dance group IYASA, which toured with international success. His departure from the group after 9 years led him to Europe and eventually to Vienna (Austria), where he graduated at the renowned Vienna Conservatory.
Futurelove worked as an dancer and actor in numerous dance and theatre productions, and has been a house-hold name at the Dschungel Wien (“Captain Future”, “How To Get Famous”, “Sand”, “Boys don’t cry”, “Saci – Ein Kobold im Dschungel”, “Laria Nera”, “Afrikanische Märchen”, “China K”).
With their critically acclaimed and praised performance “how to get famous” Futurelove Sibanda and London-based Austrian artist & performer Christian Margol were honored as award winners at the 11th Fidelio competition in Vienna. Futurelove was also crowned the best male dancer in the prestigious European Dance Competition (ESDU) in Croatia after triumphing over other dancers from across Europe.
Making love to Music
Futurelove has built up a following over the years, touring with big names such as Wolfgang Ambros, Willi Resetarits, Opus, Hans Theessink, award-winning acappella group Insigizi and Team Bulawayo in several countries across the world.
Performances include venues in Austria, France, Liechtenstein, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Japan, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Swaziland and the United States of America.
Oliver Pocher, a stand-up comedian and television personality in Germany, described Futurelove Sibanda as “the perfect combination between Bob Marley and Lenny Kravitz”, showing how Futurelove’s versatile vocals are not to be boxed away into genres.
What is Futurelove up to?
He is currently working on his first album.
In 2019 Futurelove released his first web series called “The #thisisfuturelove Show”.
In 2014 he founded “Future & The Lovers” and went on tour across Europe with his first full-length show “Beyond the Future”.
